How do I...
Make An Appointment?
All consultations are by appointment only. We will give you an appointment within 24 hours of your request. A small number of appointments can be booked one week in advance. A timetable is available at reception detailing doctors' availability. Routine appointments are made at 10-minute intervals. If you are unable to keep your appointment, it is your responsibility to inform the surgery in good time so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.

Obtain A Home Visit?
Home visits are for the frail or housebound. In most cases of serious illness the surgery is the best place to fully assess the patient. Children should always be brought to the surgery as they will be seen more quickly and there are better facilities for examination and treatment than are available in your home. Please try to make requests for home visits before 11.00am giving the patient's name, address, telephone number and brief details of the nature of the illness. This enables the doctors to prioritise calls according to their urgency. Please remember the doctor can see several patients in surgery in the time it takes to visit one patient at home.

Obtain Test Results?
Please telephone the surgery between 12 noon and 2.00pm for the results of any tests you may have had. Please allow 7-10 days before telephoning for results. For cervical smear results allow at least eight weeks but in any case you will be informed by letter as soon as the result is available. This is the usual time it takes for results to arrive back in the surgery. Please do not ask someone else to phone for your results as we can only give these to you personally for reasons of confidentiality.
